Clinical Features of Graves' Disease	

The symptoms of hyperthyroidism are relatively non-specific, but the combination of weight loss and an increased appetite is very suggestive of thyroid overactivity. Many patients referred to an endocrinologist are found to have a primary psychiatric problem such as an anxiety state. The signs of thyrotoxicosis and Graves' Disease are shown in Figs. 17.20.
